BRITANNIA

Britannia was a trans-Atlantic rowboat designed in 1967 for John Fairfax, built by Lallows boatyard at Cowes. Fairfax rowed the Atlantic in 180 days, an amazing feat for someone who had never rowed before.

The story of the voyage is told in the book Britannia: Rowing Alone Across the Atlantic by John Fairfax.
